Caltrans and Metro are holding a community meeting about the SR-710 Tunnel Technical Study on Tuesday, April 28, at 6:30 pm at Blair High School Cafeteria, 1201 S. Marengo Ave., Pasadena.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide information and answer questions about the study, which includes the geotechnical feasibility for all practical alternatives for extending the SR-710 through the use of a tunnel, including portions of Pasadena, South Pasadena, Los Angeles, Alhambra, Monterey Park, San Marino, La Canada Flintridge and Glendale.
As part of this research, borings to examine subsurface soil conditions have been conducted in Pasadena and other areas. A final report of the soil testing results will be made public by late 2009.
