Sierra Madre Police Chief Seeks Community Representatives for Advisory Board

Published: Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Sierra Madre Chief of Police Marilyn Diaz is forming a Chief’s Police Services Community Advisory Board. The Board is being created as a community resource for the Chief to increase public awareness, to assist in the development of policing strategies, and as a forum for discussions about community concerns. The Board is intended to be a reflection of the community’s viewpoints.

Chief Diaz is asking for the community’s help in filling the last two positions left on her Advisory Board: An at-large community representative, and a representative for the senior community.

The Board will meet one Wednesday evening a month at the Police Department. The dates and time have yet to be determined. If you are interested, please fill out an application. Applications are available at the front desk of the Police Department, City Hall, and will be on the Police Department’s website as of June 30, 2009.
