The Fourth of July parade in Sierra Madre is an annual tradition for the community and for Century 21 Village Realty. Even with the long weekend this year and the exodus of people going out of town to beat the heat, the agents at this Sierra Madre real estate office came in to continue their 31 year tradition. Agents and their families came in early to prepare bags of popcorn and hundreds of balloons to give away to local parade goers.
Managing Broker Andy Bencosme stated “this is a wonderful community event and I am thrilled we have been able to be a part of it for 31 years. It has been special to me since my kids were young. Now that they are older, seeing the little ones continue to enjoy the parade brings back great memories.”
While there is a lot of work involved in the preparations, it is well worth it to the agents and staff. Realtor Kevin Johnson said, “I don’t mind getting in early and setting up. It is a lot of fun and I can’t wait to do it again next year!”
It is especially gratifying to see the young children enjoy all of the festivities. Long time Century 21 Village Realty agent Dhina Bingley brought her daughter and four granddaughters to the parade and said, “I love to see their little faces light up as they watch all the floats go by.”
Realtor Jackie Adaimy said, “It’s a nice tradition for our office. It’s really nice to see all the agents bring their kids and grandkids to help.”
“I have so many great memories of this parade from when I was growing up. I love it that my grandkids are now able to enjoy the parade the way I did,” added Paula Howbert, the office administrator, whose family goes way back in Sierra Madre.
Realtor Sylvia Ramos stated, “I am so happy to be part of the Century 21 Village Family. I had so much fun and can’t wait until next year!”
