Sierra Madre Crime Blotters: Dec. 24 – Dec. 30

Dec. 24

At about 1:41 a.m., a resident called shortly after and advised that a vehicle crashed into a yard in the 00 block of Mountain Trail and that subjects fled from the vehicle. The vehicle was determined to be stolen as SMPD officers arrested one juvenile male subject nearby. Following a search of the area with an assist from Monrovia PD, El Monte PD and Arcadia PD, officers arrested another juvenile male believed to be one of the subjects seen running from the stolen vehicle. Both male subjects were transported to the Pasadena Jail, cited and released their parents. Case sent to detectives.

Dec. 25

Sometime between Dec. 24 at 5 p.m. and Dec. 25 at 10 a.m., a victim parked and secured her vehicle in front of her residence in the area of the 500 block of East Grandview Avenue. The victim later discovered the rear driver side window of her vehicle was smashed and her leather bag containing miscellaneous toiletries was taken sometime between Dec. 24  at 5 p.m. and Dec. 25 at 10 a.m.

At 3:55 p.m. a male in the area of East Sierra Madre Boulevard and Mountain Trail was arrested for indecent exposure in the presence of several people. The subject was transported to the Pasadena Jail. Case referred to detectives.

Dec. 30

Between Dec. 28, 2018 at 6:30 a.m. and Dec. 30, 2018 at 1:30 p.m., a burglary and vandalism occurred in the 00 block of North Baldwin Avenue. This case is ongoing pending outcome of further investigation.
