Sierra Madre Crime Blotters: Oct. 28 – Nov. 4

Oct. 28

At approximately 10:54 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop at North Canon and Highland Avenue. A registration check of the vehicle showed the current plate was expired for over a year but the vehicle displayed a current tab. The driver admitted the tab belonged to a different vehicle. The driver also had an open container of alcohol in the vehicle and admitted to drinking alcohol while driving. The driver was cited and released, the vehicle was impounded. The case was referred to the district attorney’s (DA) office.

Oct. 29

A pedestrian was contacted at about 2:36 a.m. for a vehicle code violation and eventually arrested after the person provided officers with false identification and was in possession of narcotics paraphernalia. Subject was transported to the Pasadena PD jail. Case was referred to the DA’s office.

At 8:30 a.m. a resident in the 300 block of West Sierra Madre Boulevard contacted the Department to report that an unknown suspect(s) shattered the front passenger side window of her vehicle, sometime between 5:30 p.m. on Oct.  28 to 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 29. No property was taken from vehicle.

Oct. 31

Around 2:30 p.m. officers arrested a male subject for trespassing in the 100 block of North Baldwin Avenue.

Nov. 4

A vehicle was stopped for a vehicle code violation. The driver was found to be under the influence of marijuana and was impaired. The driver was arrested and transported to the SMPD jail for a drug recognition evaluation and later transported to Pasadena jail for booking. The case was handed over to the DA’s office.
